Our Vision and Mission

Our Vision: All aspects of our community support the conditions required for health, well-being, and equity. And also to help every sick person who cannot come to the health care due to lack of finance The long term goal of Kaafi hospital foundation is a commitment to make word-class, equality healthcare affordable to the people of Somalia.

The Foundation also aims to improve the human condition at the center of academic culture devoted to excellence in health education, patient care, basic science, clinical and medicinal plant research.

Our Mission: We aim to promote health through wellness education and disease prevention and treatment through the unrestricted, comprehensive medical and public health outreach interventions and educational programs that cover the following:

1- Health And Wellness Education

The primary focus of the Foundation over the last years 2022 has been health and wellness education. A pilot comprehensive public health and preventive medicine program has been established at Mogadishu-Somalia . This program aims to teach individuals in the community to take charge of their own health by preventing some diseases or illnesses before they occur. The health issues currently taught and the topics that will be covered at these instructive seminars in the near future include:

  1. Maternal/reproductive and child health
  2. Infectious diseases (Malaria, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis)
  3. Sexually transmitted diseases
  4. Sanitation/ environmental health, personal hygiene
  5. Injury prevention
  6. Tobacco/ alcohol/ substance abuse
  7. Immunization
  8. Nutrition
  9. Potable water

2- Medical Missions

Teams of physicians and other allied professionals have visited twice every week in to IDP Camps During this period the Foundation’s volunteers have rendered outpatient and inpatient care including surgical operations at a Kaafi hospital and conducted communi-ty-wide ( BPH bladder stone amputation, Hemorrhoid, umbilical hernia, Hysterectomy, Aden tonsillectomy, appendicitis perforation, appendectomy, skin graft, lipoma , Cesarean Section, D&C, Ovarian Cystectom, Cervical mass, Henia, Abcess Drainage, Anal fissure, Anal fistula, Hysterectomy ETC), This has been done in collaboration with Kaafi hospital doctors , and we are ready to do open and laparoscopy surgeries.

Staffs Capacity

Executive Director– Signing contracts on behalf of CBRDO

  • Project proposals development/fundraising.
  • Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the organization in the respective offices at the respective project areas
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintaining internal controls and ensure budget compliance Determine staffing requirements for organizational management and program delivery.

Program Director– Develop an effective plan of action for running programs from inception to completion

  •  Manage daily operations that support and implement current program objectives
  •  Strategically map-out a program schedule and timeline and ensure it is followed  
  • Oversee and advise program staff in various tasks
  •  Suggest innovative plans and processes to improve program functions

Finance Manger

  •  Manage cash controls as well as maintain book keeping up-to-date.
  •  Ensure all expenses are within assigned project budget.
  •  Ensure account receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely  
  • Manage the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, expense reports, etc.
  •  Ensure data integrity in all financial reporting
  •  Providing and interpreting financial information

Program Managers-Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

  •  Develop a detailed project plan to track progress  
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  •  Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

Procurement and Logistic officer– Provide logistical support for project activities; including transport for client visits, events such as workshops, meetings etc.

  •  Coordinate the receipt, opening and evaluation of quotations, tenders, or proposals for goods, services
  •  Reviewing the supply chain to ensure it is efficient and effective;  
  • Maintain files and records for all procurement processes, tenders, procurement evaluations, contracts, Purchase orders, all correspondences relating to the procurements.
